Dr. Sung Yong CHO, a distinguished graduate of Seoul National University College of Medicine (SNUCM), has been a prominent figure at Seoul National University Hospital (SNUH) in South Korea since 2019. He specializes in urology, focusing on treating conditions like urinary stones, benign prostate hyperplasia, stricture, and upper tract urothelial carcinoma. Within SNUH, Dr. Cho leads important departments like the Specialized Endoluminal Endourology-Stone (SEES) Center, the Therapeutic Ultrasound Lab (EASYURO) for urolithiasis and prostate diseases, and the Medical Device Development (MDD) Supporting Division, including the Usability Test Center (UTC) within SIMTRI (SNUH Innovative Medical Technology Research Institute). He has been the president of the Korean Society of Medical Devices Usability (KoSMeDU) since 2023.

He is a leading expert in Korea & East Asia for endoscopic surgery for stone and enlarged prostate, such as flexible ureteroscopy surgery (f-URS), supine and miniaturized percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL), and Endoscopic Combined IntraRenal surgery (ECIRS). Dr. Cho is also actively performing Anatomical Endoscopic Enucleation of the Prostate (AEEP) using Holmium Laser (HoLEP) and bipolar electrodes (BipoLEP/TUEB) as well.

He represented Korea in the Asian Guidelines of Urolithiasis Panels in 2019 and has shared his knowledge through papers and live surgeries at global conferences. He actively participates in international societies like the Endourological Society, SIU, and UAA, and has founded the Asian Urological Society of Endoluminal surgery & Technology (AUSET, www.endoluminal.org) and the Endoluminal Technology Symposium (ETS).

Dr. Naeem Bhojani was born and raised in Montreal. He obtained a BSc in Microbiology and Immunology and another in Physiotherapy from McGill University in 2001 and then completed medical school and urology residency at the University of Montreal. In 2011, Dr. Bhojani spent 2 years with Dr. Lingeman at Indiana University completing his Fellowship in BPH and Stone Disease. Dr. Bhojani was recruited by the University of Montreal in 2013 to build and develop Comprehensive Kidney Stone and BPH Programs. At the University of Montreal, he has the rank of Full Professor and clinical researcher. Dr. Bhojani has published extensively on stone disease and BPH and is an editorial board member of the Journal of Endourology, Urology Practice and Associate editor for the Canadian Urological Association Journal. In 2017, Dr. Bhojani was named the AUA’s Young urologist of the year representing the NSAUA and in 2019, Dr. Bhojani was awarded the prestigious clinical research scholar award from the FRQ-S.

Dr Olivier TRAXER is Professor of Urology and Chairman Urology department Sorbonne University Tenon hospital (Paris-France). The Tenon Urology department Sorbonne University is certified by the EndoUrological Society for 1&2 years Fellowship program and EBU host center certified for Stone/EndoUrology, BPH, Incontinence and Neuro-Urology. Professor Traxer is also the director of the GRC#20 (Clinical Research Group #20) at Sorbonne University. He did a research-fellowship at Southwestern Medical School, University of Texas-Dallas-USA (Charles Y.C PAK & Margaret Sue PEARLE) to subspecialize in Endourology and kidney stone management.

As endo-urologist, his main goal is to improve the knowledge on urinary stone disease and endourology. Pr Traxer published more than 540 per-reviewed papers.

Pr Traxer is a board member of: the EndoUrological Society, the French Association of Urology (AFU) and EAU board member of the EULIS and ESUT. He is an active member of AAGUS & AAEU. He was also the treasurer of SIU. He received in 2010 (Chicago-WCE) the Arthur Smith Award and the Ralph Clayman Mentor Award in 2020. In 2022 he received the St Paul Medal at BAUS annual meeting. He was also the president of the World Congress of EndoUrology in Paris 2018 (WCE2018) and became a member of the French Academy of Surgery in 2022. In 2023 he became Honorary Member of the UAA in Dubai. In 2024 he was nominated as new Chair of EAU-Endourology (ESEUT: European Section of EndoUrology and Technology) for EAU.

I have a broad base of general urological expertise, with a subspecialist interest in Endourology. My training was under Prof Zeng Guo Hua in Guangzhou, China who was the pioneer of mini-PCNL.

In 2005 I successfully brought this technique back to Nepal and have performed over 7,000 cases. My centre hosts visiting urologists from around the world who observe and learn this technique and have taken the skills home to benefit patients in their countries. I have also introduced laser enucleation of the prostate and performed over 650 cases so far.

I have been invited faculty at many international conferences and demonstrated live surgery at a number of meetings. I was awarded ‘Best Poster Presentation’ award at the First Conference of Experts in Stone Disease.

Dr. Ahmad Jaber Almujalhem, a board certified Urologist. He obtained his Urology Board Training from Kuwait Urology Board. Guido Giusti was born in Verona (Italy) on February 27th 1966.

He graduated in Medicine on October 30th 1991with full mark and magna cum laude at School of Medicine of University of Verona (Italy). In 1991 he entered Residency of Urology at School of Medicine of University of Verona (Italy). In 1996 he attended the "Division of Urologic Surgery" of "Washington University School of Medicine" in St. Louis (Missouri-USA) directed by Dr. W.J. Catalona for a full year research fellowship in Endourology and Laparoscopy with dr. R.V. Clayman.

From January 1997 to June 1999 he served as Assistant Professor at Department of Urology of the University of Verona.

In June 1999 he moved to Department of Urology of Humanitas Research Hospital in Milan becoming Chair of the "Stone Center" of this Institution.

Since 2013 he established the European Training Center of Endourology running 171 international courses in 8 years with more than 800 doctors coming from 19 different countries (www.etce.it).

Since June 1st 2015 he moved to Ospedale San Raffaele to establish a new Stone Center for this Hospital while continuing his activity as Head of ETCE.

Dr. Hazem Elmansy, Assistant Professor of Urology, Northern Ontario School of Medicine, joined Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre’s Urology department in May 2017. He completed his Urology residency at McGill University and has training in endourology (including Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy for complex stone management, laser surgery for the prostate and metabolic work-up to prevent stone disease recurrence). In October 2017, Dr. Elmansy performed the first holmium laser enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP) procedure in Ontario. He has a strong passion for research and has co-authored 16 peer- reviewed publications, as well a chapter in Smith’s Textbook of Endourology. Dr. Husain Alenezi graduated from medical school at the University College of Dublin (UCD), Republic of Ireland in 2004. After completing his residency training in urology with an honor degree in 2013 from King Khalid University Hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Dr. Alenezi joined his fellowship at London, Ontario, Canada in the field of Endourology, Laproscopic and Robotic surgery. Dr. Alexis Rompré-Brodeur is a urologic oncologist dedicated to the care of kidney, prostate, bladder, penile & testis cancer.

He completed a Society of Urologic Oncology (SUO) accredited fellowship at the National Cancer Institutes of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland, USA.

He also completed a master’s program in health sciences from Duke University, focused on clinical trial designs and systematic reviews & meta-analyses.

Prior to his fellowship training, he completed his urology residency at McGill University, his medical school and bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, with honors, at Université de Montréal.

His clinical practice covers all urologic cancers with a research interest in clinical trials, hereditary & genetically defined renal cancer syndromes, metastatic renal cancer, high-risk prostate cancer and metabolic imaging.

Dr. Saad Aldousari is Hospital Director and Chairman of Department of Surgery at Sabah Al-Ahmad Urology Center (SAUC), a tertiary urology referral center for adult and pediatric urology patients. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery (Urology Division) at Kuwait university, and an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Urology at MD Anderson Cancer Center (MDACC) in Houston, TX, USA. Dr. Aldousari obtained an MBBCh degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2003 and then completed residency training at McGill University in Montreal, Canada in 2011 followed by a Society of Urologic Oncology (SUO) fellowship at MDACC.
